According to Cadbury, they reported a drop in sales and they believe it’s because women are more diet-conscious, thus buying less chocolate. In hopes of winning women back, Cadbury has released a brand new chocolate bar called ‘The Crispello’ .
The Crispello is the first new chocolate bar launched by the company since the 1990s and will be backed by a £7million advertising campaign.
The new bar comes in at 165 calories, compared with 260 for a Mars bar. Crispello is similar in taste and consistency to Ferrero Rocher chocolates, and it has three chocolate-covered wafer shells with a soft milk chocolate filling.
The Crispello is expected to go on sale on 8 October 2012.
